the world closed for a while
The rain grew heavier and quietly emptied the streets, everyone retreating indoors, holding on to warmth as the world outside turned grey and closed. Wrapped in blankets with a cup of tea nearby, I sat in the living room and listened, noticing how the rain made stillness feel allowed, almost necessary. As the afternoon dimmed and the rain finally eased, the air felt lighter and clearer,
as if the day had gently made space for a deeper breath.
